چکیده

The crystallizatio n of mic roporous material SAPO-37 was studied under hydrothermal synthesis (HTS) and dry gel conversion (DGC) conditions. The evolution of the intermediate phases as a function of crystallization time was followed by several techniques including PXRD , SEM, AFM, and solid-state NMR. For DGC, SAPO-37 crystallizes from a semi-crysta lline layered precursor containing large pores and sodalite cages, whose structure is held by weak nonbo nding interactio ns. Si atoms are only incorporated in the later stage of the crystallization via the formation of aluminosilicate species. Under HTS conditions, the crystallization pathway of SAPO-37 is somewhat similar to that for DGC. The AFM data suggest that the crystal growth mechanism is ‘‘birth and spread’’, and the final SAPO-37 crystals have rough (111) surfaces terminated by different structural building units. The findings of the present work provide new physical insights into the formation of SAPO-37. 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Kinetic Modelling of Methanol to Propylene Process on Cerium-hierarchical SAPO-34 Catalyst

In this paper, conventional SAPO-34 and Cerium Hierarchical SAPO-34 zeolites are synthesized using a hydrothermal method for methanol-to-propylene (MTP) reaction. The Ce-H-SAPO-34 catalyst shows a slightly larger crystal size, bimodal pore size distribution (microporous and mesoporous) and lower surface acidity compared to conventional SAPO-34 catalysts. According to these physicochemical prope...

Modeling of Ethylbenzene Dehydrogenation Membrane Reactor to Investigate the Potential Application of a Microporous Hydroxy Sodalite Membrane

In this study the catalytic dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene was investigated in a simulated tubular sodalite membrane reactor. The high quality microporous sodalite membrane was synthesized by direct hydrothermal method and characterized by single gas permeation measurements. The performance of the prepared membrane showed high potential for application in a dehydrogenation membrane ...

Study of the dynamic adsorption process of toluene by a microporous copper metal-organic framework

Introduction: Toluene is considered as a group of chemical contaminants, causing problems for people’s health. Due to the high rate of evaporation and rapid emission in the surrounding environment, it leads to the exposure of many employees and people at risk and, subsequently, its irreparable effects on their health in different jobs. Therefore, its removal is very important. In the present st...

Removal of Cr(VI) Species from Aqueous Solution by Different Nanoporous Materials

Background: The removal of toxic metals from sewage and wastewaters is one of the most important concerns in the twenty first century. The removal of poisonous Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by different low-cost available nanoporous adsorbents was investigated in the present study.  Methods: Fumed silica, bentonite (BN), hydrotalcite (HT), MCM-41, Na-Y, mordenite (MOR) and SAPO-34 were ...
